Reflection

Key = guarding one’s heart wisely.
Mirror = to reflect the Creator’s love, and also because my friend is rather vain. =P
Crucifix = self-explanatory.

And if you have a minute why don’t we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don’t we go
Somewhere only we know?
— Somewhere only we know, Keane.

Inspired by the song above.
Made another miniature scene of Calvin and Hobbes.
Do head over to my Etsy shop to purchase it.

A birthday gift for a friend.

Left to right:

  • Jar of “fairy dust”: In Peter Pan, children escape growing up by flying to Neverland. Before they can fly though, they needed to sprinkle fairy dust over themselves, and think happy thoughts.
  • Jar of Wizard Money: From Harry Potter. Withdrew from my Gringotts vault. ;)
  • And the last jar contains Felix Felicis, or in Harry Potter’s world – Liquid Luck.

A wand + fairy + wand box.

For 21st birthday.

forget the world.

was inspired by the song, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, and this image came into my mind. i originally wanted to make a scene for Remus and Sirius under a tree, but i decided to try it first. The tree is made of tissue paper, folded into a flower, and then painted with acrylic paint. =)

i don’t know what exactly happened, maybe due to the dry air, but the bottom is cracked, as you can see in the last picture. =[ so, i’m selling it for cheap on my etsy. the model is varnished with matte varnish. =)

i’ve already planned my friends’ Christmas presents, especially ones that i could easily make. unfortunately, i don’t have enough time to mail it to them before Christmas. =( but here’s a little peek at one of the gifts i’m making for them. :)

Preview of the chocolates inside.

Peek-a-boo! Classic sneakpeek shot.

And the lucky recipient is... =D

That’s all for now. :D more to come!

Close-up shot of dry noodles

Back home, these are called mee kolok. The noodles are usually home-made, with egg and lard as main ingredients, with starch. They would sprinkle chopped leek, and minced pork meat, topped with sliced pork meat, called char siew. They look exceptionally delectable, and the aroma that wafts to your nose simply entice you to savor them.

It was fun to make these, and I needn’t worry about them drying up too fast. =D I was so worried that the char siew wouldn’t turn out realistically enough, but it looks good here, as well as in real life. =D The portioning of the noodles are exaggerated, but it’s really good to induce some rumbles from our bottomless pits right? XD

Here’s another picture of them, with an American dime. It’s about 1.5 cm in diameters.
